Would you rather eat a bug or be in fender bender?

Would you rather eat a bug...makes you think of Dr. Seuss doesn't it?  But not so.  This was one of the questions from our October Relief Society Enrichment Activity Meeting.  This question and others like it came up as we tried our hand at Speed Dating.

No, our husbands, boyfriends (or potential boyfriends) don't need to worry...we weren't actually looking for dates, but using the format to get to know one another--sister to sister--better.

Did you know one of our sisters loves Madonna and recently was able to see her in concert?

Do you know where most sisters would like to go on vacation?  Hawaii is a good guess.  Someone wants to go to Iceland?  What's up with that?

Do you know who has been in the ward the longest, who is the newest, who has the most grandkids?

These are the kinds of things we learned about one another at the activity.  Then we ate cake and sweet bread because you know we always have good refreshments at Relief Society meetings.  (Shhh, don't let that get out or we will be over-run by the young men! Teen age boys can never get enough to eat!)

What you want me to tell you the answers to the questions?  You should have come or...shhhh, don't tell...I should have taken notes!  But have no fear, I'll find some answers and get back to you.

Until then here are some pictures...and be sure and check out the tab at the top "Names and Faces" to see more pictures.  (Are you like me and have trouble putting names with faces?  Well this is your cheat sheet!  shhhh....)

Ohhhh!  And sisters, for those of you that were there...if you remember something you learned about another sister, or something you just really enjoyed (like the cake)....please leave a comment!  We'd all love to hear from you!

  3. Love the blog Leslie! It was a fun night, even if I look a little fuzzy!! I heard Hawaii too--I think it was Jenni W. I would just love to see more of the USA in the form of a church history tour!! Maybe someday.... (by the way, I have eaten a bug--chocolate covered ants! They tasted like chocolate covered rice crispies. That's what you get when your student ward bishop is a biology professor! Chris

    1. LOL, Chris, that is one time that even chocolate would not be enough for me. Sounds like a really fun Bishop though. :)
