You are going to have that song stuck in your head all day now, aren't you? You're welcome.
This post will be a regular feature. Think of it as a "getting to know you" page, but more interesting. For this post I asked some of you about your Halloween stories.
Darelyn Guinn - One of her favorite stories is of her daughter, Adelle, who is 11 now, but when she was 3, she loved bugs. Really loved them. Whenever she saw a bug she would pick it up. Her budding career as a lepidopterist, or entomologist was cut short however. You see, at the tender age of three, she did not differeniate between friendly bugs and wasps and hornets (otherwise known as evil bugs). She was tenacious enough that she began to develop an allergy to the nasty creatures, and her parents had to carry an Epi pen. About that time, she decided that bugs were not so cool after all.
So, Halloween was approaching, and Daralyn bought her a darling fairy costume. Shouldn't every girl be a fairy at least one Halloween? Excitedly Daralyn showed her the costume and put it on her for the big Halloween Party at her Grandmother's house. Adelle looked at it and her face became one of disappointment and displeasure, "I'm a bug!"
Ha ha, funny thing about kids and Halloween. We had a similar experience with Peter. He was late to talk and I was concerned enough that I had his hearing checked. My friends told me not to worry, he's "the youngest of five, he doesn't need to talk." Still I worried, but then came Halloween.
With no prompting from me, he walked up to the first door, observed the other children, and when it was his turn he said, "Tick Teet," and then "Tank You". I swear those where some of his first words. I knew then that he would speak when he wanted to.
Mary Mathews also had an affinity for candy when she was younger, but hey what kid/teen doesn't right? Not us grown women, though, we are immune, right? *wink* Mary and her friends made a map of her small town. Every house was labeled. Then they planned a route so that they could visit EVERY house. Did they make it? You betcha!
And to continue the fun...how about some picture of sisters from the Trunk or Treat Party!
Don't forget tomorrow, Nov 1st is the Relief Society Pinterest Party. It starts at 7 pm, child care is provided...let Courtney Teeples know if you are bringing your hooligans, so they can plan babysitters. Hope to see you there!
P.S. If you haven't done your visiting teaching yet, maybe you could take them some candy...LOL!

Those stories and pictures are so fun, Leslie!
