Boring is such a strong word, but I felt I needed to warn you...
Those of you who are familiar with blogging can skip this post, but for those of you that would like (and need) a few pointers, this post is for you.
First of all if you are viewing this from a laptop, or other "regular" computer, then look at the bar on the right side of the screen. There I have places options to help you not only find this blog again, but to know when new things are posted. I plan to post weekly, so you don't want to miss out on the fun!
On the bar on the right there are boxes to help you have posts sent to your email, or you can add this blog to your "reader". Quick explanation of "reader"...there are websites like "google reader" and others that help people that read several blogs to have them all in one handy location. I use google reader and it is very helpful! Alternatively, you could "bookmark" the blog and just check in weekly. I will post on the Crestwood Ward Facebook page when there is an update so you can check there. Or you could type in the address everytime you want to visit, but having typed it many times myself, I don't recommend that option.
Also good to note...I set up our blog so that it will NOT come up in the blogger index, or on google or other search engines so in order to find it, you will need to use one of the above options.
Other 'goodies' on the right column are links to BYU Speeches. I just discovered this wonderful treasure, and I thought it might be possible that I am not the last person in the church to find it. So just in case you weren't aware either, check these out. I have found several talks there that have been exactly what I needed.
Blog roll...also on the right are links to blogs from sisters in the ward. Visiting them is a great way to get better acquainted. If your blog is not there, and you would like it to be...or even if you think, "well, it's out of date, but I don't mind if you add it..." (ha, I read your mind), then send me an email at neverstoplearning2 at yahoo dot com. Or send me a note on facebook, or slip me a piece of paper with your blog name on it at church..whatever works for you. The most recently updated blog goes to the top automatically.
Finally, if you get behind, the archive of posts is at the bottom of the page.
If you have any questions, or suggestions (I plan to blog weekly so I will need some ideas!) please don't hesitate to tell me.
Leslie
