Ok, ok...UNCLE! This post because of all the pictures is really time-consuming, so I am going to give it to you in bits and pieces, until it is all done. Enjoy!
Patty North made this beautiful blessing dress. It full of lace and very pretty. But the truly amazing thing about it, is that this was Patty's FIRST SEWING PROJECT!
Wow, Patty, do you begin all new projects with such bang?
Wonderful job! It's really an heirloom.
Mary Mathews showed us a wedding-ring quilt sample. I call it a sample because she made this up to try out a new technique. I wish all my experiments turned out to well!
She also gave us a valuable piece of advice:
Don't make a wedding ring quilt for your child unless he or she is an only child! Otherwise, end up making one for everyone.
Yikes. I think I will give my children knitted dishclothes for their weddings.
The quilt is gorgeous. And I think we know who to call if we need quilting help.
HINT: I happen to know that Mary Tripp quilts as well. . .
See the beautiful crochet work in the lower-left corner of this picture?
That is the crochet work of Karren Hayes. Karren generously told her daughter to choose a blanket for her baby, and she (Karren) would make it. I think that is amazingly generous, almost as amazing as the blanket is looking!
Great colors, too!
Stay tuned for the next installment of Pinterest...coming...some...time...
