Sisters, so many things...so little time!
First...we haven't reached 17 Birthday wishes on the last post...don't leave me hanging here! <big cheesy grin>
Second...
Disregard--apparently it has been rescheduled. Someone want to tell me when it is going to be???
Third...don't forget to take a look at the "blog roll" listed on the right side of the page. Those are blogs from other sisters in the ward who have agreed to have their blogs listed here. It is a great way to get to know each other better. If your blog is not listed here, and you would like it to be, let me know! I'll be happy to add it. If you would be interested in writing a guest post for Overheard at the Water Fountain...let me know!

Speaking of Sunday! This time...once again, I'm going to ask for your input for the blog....(it is a blog for all of us after all. I want you to have a "voice" here...) For our Spiritual Caffeine...tell us about which talk(s) affected you and why. I read this sort of thing in other places on the net, but I would like to "hear" it from you, the sistaers that I know! I'll start.
I am one of those indecisive people that struggles to decide on a favorite anything. A "Top Ten" of many things, I can do, but pick ONE as a favorite? Just one? Nope can't do it...usually...
Without hesitation, I can say that my favorite talk of Conference was Pres. Uchtdorf's Sunday morning talk, for reasons that will not surprise many of you. (If you are feeling in the dark here, feel free to come visit me at my personal blog, Leslie's Illusions and you will quickly understand why that talk was my favorite. Beautiful, beautiful talk...very much appreciated.
And my second favorite...(yep, I'm on a roll here) was Elder Holland's talk from the same session: Lord, I Believe. Powerful talk. These last few years I have been in the midst of a faith crisis/journey...things are much better, but the journey is not over. This talk was balm for my heart.
What a marvelous day and age to live in when we can sit in the comfort of our own homes and hear messages from our Prophet and other leaders...truly amazing!
Ok...your turn...if your reasons for liking a talk are personal (I thought I could tell you why I liked the talks I did, but found myself holding back...) it's ok...feel free to just tell us which talk spoke to your heart and leave it at that if you want.

I'm glad you liked Elder Uchdorf's talk! My favorite was Elder Holland's talk, 2nd favorite Elaine Dalton's.
ReplyDeleteAnd the activity was moved to the 18th because of Spring Break. :)
I thought of you during Pres. Uchtdorf's talk! I liked so many of them, but I think the one that kind of rand out to me was Sister Wixom's talk. It made me feel guilty though. :P
ReplyDeleteOh man, Jamie I had just been totally yelling at my kids literally right before Sis. Wixom's talk. Chris and I had to laugh. But I did enjoy the talk a lot.
